You are here because you are a programmer or you have some sort of interest in programming.Some decades ago computer were luxury but Now computer have become a neccessity but most people doesn't know how computers work .They simply see the screen,they click the mouse, and so on.But being a programmer we should know how computers operate,and we should know how programs,software are written.Writing software is a art rather than a engineering.For writing software we first know about programming languages.
From today I am going to write about C(Programming Language).Before going to C, I am going to write about programming language.Just like our natural language, programming language are also made to communicate..Programming language are means of communication between computers and humans.
C is a programming language developed at AT and T's Bell Lab. of USA in 1972.It was designed and written by a Dennis Ritchie. C is so popular because it easy to use,it can be compiled on multiple platform,it is reliable,programs written in c are fast.
Facts about C:
1.UNIX OS was totally written on C.
2.Most viruses are written in C.
3.Many popular gaming frameworks(like DirectX) have been written in C.
4.Major parts of popular OS like Windows,Unix,Linux are still written in C,
Why use C:
1.C forms (or is the basis for) the core of the modern languages Java and C++.
2.Most OS are still written in C.
3.C allows to control over very low aspect of computer.
4.Programs written in C are fast.
5.Most of the things you learn with C will be directly transferable to future programming languages.
